The Orfalea Foundation hosted the School Wellness Summit in 2014 and 2015. The intention was to create an annual forum where peers in the education community could share innovative practices, form a support network, and collectively build a culture of health and wellness in our schools.

The School Wellness Council seeks your support to help sustain this critical event.

By becoming a sponsor, you will help build on the achievements of the School Food Initiative and its school partners, and create a better future for the children of Santa Barbara County.

SWS is an opportunity to share ideas with other leaders who are improving pupil outcomes by transforming schools into centers of health and wellness. Summit highlights include:

  • Creating a culture and climate that fosters student, campus and workplace wellness
  • Networking opportunities with representatives from other school districts and community agencies and organizations
  • Sharing innovative practices that support Orfalea's School Food Initiative work
  • Preparing partners to engage in a support network to sustain schools as centers of health and wellness
  • A delicious lunch
